Quality Control
Quality Control & Compliance
At Nesol Energies, quality is engineered into every battery we manufacture. From raw material selection to final dispatch, each product undergoes defined inspection and testing processes aligned with Indian Standards (IS) specified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Our quality systems ensure safety, performance reliability, and long service life across automotive, industrial, and stationary applications.
Nesol energies is certified under ZED Scheme of Govt. of India showcasing our zest for quality products with “Zero defects” and our zeal towards contribution to the environment and SDG goals, leaving behind ”Zero Effect” on them.
Compliance with Indian Standards
Lead-Acid Starter Batteries
Nesol Energies follows IS 14257:1995, the Indian Standard for lead-acid storage batteries used in motor vehicles, designed for high cranking performance and lightweight construction.
Our starter batteries are evaluated against defined parameters covering:
- Construction integrity and material conformity
- Dimensional accuracy and terminal layout
- Rated capacity at 5-hour discharge rate
- High-rate discharge performance at sub-zero temperatures
- Charge acceptance capability
- Life cycle endurance
- Overcharge resistance
- Vibration resistance
- Terminal strength and fastening robustness
Each battery type is tested through type tests, acceptance tests, and defined performance checks to ensure consistency across production lots and reliability under real-world operating conditions.
Stationary & Industrial Batteries
As per IS 1651:1991
For stationary and industrial applications, including tubular positive plate batteries, our products conform to IS 1651:1991, which governs stationary lead-acid cells and batteries.
Quality control under this standard includes verification of:
- Ampere-hour capacity ratings
- Cell construction and material specifications
- Electrolyte composition and specific gravity control
- Dimensional conformity
- Performance at various discharge rates
- Capacity retention after storage
- Endurance and efficiency under prolonged charging cycles
- Voltage stability during discharge
These tests ensure that Nesol Energies batteries deliver dependable performance in critical applications such as power backup, telecom, industrial power systems, and renewable energy storage.
In-House Testing & Inspection Process
Our quality control framework integrates testing at multiple stages:
- Verification of lead alloys, separators, containers, and electrolyte components
- Compliance with prescribed chemical and mechanical properties
- Plate formation and curing control
- Assembly alignment and sealing integrity
- Electrolyte filling and level accuracy
- Capacity and discharge testing
- Voltage and current measurement using calibrated instruments
- Visual and dimensional inspection
- Safety and durability verification
Only batteries meeting defined acceptance criteria are cleared for dispatch.
Each battery is clearly marked with:
- Manufacturer identification
- Battery type and rating
- Month and year of manufacture
- Country of origin
This ensures full traceability and compliance with BIS marking requirements.
Quality at Nesol Energies is not a one-time check but a continuous process. Our adherence to nationally recognized standards reflects our commitment to delivering batteries that perform reliably, safely, and efficiently throughout their service life.
